The dictionary says it's a manner, feeling, disposition, or position.

Your attitude is actually your thoughts. That's it. A simple thought is the start of your attitude, in fact it's a series (or string) of thoughts put together consistantly and that is what creates your attitude. This is important to understand because depending on whether your thoughts are positive or negative will determin what type of attitude you have.

Attitudes are not permanent. This is good news if you have a negative one. All you have to do is change your thoughts and then you will change your attitude.

Take some time throughout your day to pay attention to how you feel and the thoughts behind them. Notice your reaction to co-workers, bosses, grocery store attendants and family. Then think about the thought behind your reaction. If it is negative counter it with a positive thought. This is a key part of the process. Without a counter you have no chance of beating a bad attitude.

Everyone needs to counter the negative thoughts.

Have a great day and enjoy.

Al Fuentes

Old School Subconscious Thought

When it comes to the subconscious in many ways old school rules apply. That is, for those of you who put signs all over their house reminding you of their goal, this is effective. Many even have little verbal sayings like "champion" or "wealth." These forms of subconscious training can still be effective. One way to enhance this simple tool is to consciously stop when you see one and take 30 seconds, close your eyes, and imagine actually having the thing that you want. Bring the emotion into you as well.

This is key because the only way the subconscious will act on something is if the conscious allows it. The more you do this the more the conscious will believe it to be true and let it pass to the subconscious.

A great tip that can dramatically improve your results!

Have a great day!

Al Fuentes

ESPN Blog Post by Rebecca Lobo

Ventin' in Trenton

I'll huff and I'll puff...
